Hosting, domain, VPS, backup: what are they?
A domain name is your address on the internet (for example your-company.ch). Hosting is the space, on a server, where your site or applications live so they’re always reachable.
A VPS (virtual private server) is a server reserved for you, more powerful and isolated than shared hosting. A backup is a regular copy of your data, kept separately: if an incident happens, we restore instead of losing everything. Monitoring, finally, checks that everything is running and alerts before you notice.
